Florida Keys Bonefishing
Why not try Florida Keys bonefishing while you're on vacation in America's Caribbean? It's both exciting and mesmerizing at the same time. You will achieve instant Zen riding out into the backcountry for a day of Florida Keys bonefishing. There are miles and miles of shallow water, also called skinny water, what we also call the "flats". Flats fishing is unlike reef or bottom fishing, and Florida Keys bonefishing is a prime example.
Bonefishing is done by sight fishing. After your Zen-like ride out to the backcountry on the special flats boat, the guide will cut the engine and together you and the boat will try and melt into the surroundings as you silently glide over the flats in search of bonefish. From his stand on the back of the boat, your guide will look for ghosts, as bonefish are called, and when one is spotted you're up! Throw the shrimp bait towards the bonefish, tyring to land it perfectly in his path, right in front of him. It takes expert casting and teamwork with your guide. Not at all like offshore fishing, reef fishing, or bottom fishing, really. It's quiet, requires stealth, and you actually look for the bonefish rather than trying to lure them with chum or bait.
